CHIPOKA SECONDARY ALUMNI CHALLENGE THE FRATERNITY TO ENGAGE IN DEVELOPMENT.

Chipoka Secondary School Alumni’s (CSSA) has challenged the school’s Alumni Community to engage in infrastructure, transportation and financial development to address the challenges the school is facing.

Speaking during Chipoka Alumni Annual General Meeting, the Association National Coordinator, and Robert Matengula highlighted that the school needs a vehicle, a fence surrounding the school premises and financial support in form of bursary and upkeep to necessity students.

“We have been engaging in building the association, raising resources for the school in the Era of the Covid-19 pandemic and online engagements to mobilize resources for the school,” Matengula said.

During the event, Matengula revealed a board of trustees composed of Mr Boniface kalapo, Abigail Nyaka, Amos Khonje, Arnold Mwale and Pastor A Katambika among others to monitor the Alumni fraternity.

On his part, Deputy Headteacher for Chipoka Secondary School Timothy Ndolo urged the Alumni to provide full to the school which is facing challenges of transportation, infrastructure and water problems among other things.

“The Alumni have come in a right time where they are helping us in fixing doors our hostel sand they have pledged to help in the construction of a fence which was vandalized, “Ndolo added.

The CSS Alumni were having their second Annual General Meeting under the theme “Unity and diversity, one Chipoka one Vision” which took place at the Secondary School in Salima district.

The grouping is composed of at least 400 former students since 1993.
