Tv’s must deploy sigh Language interpreters.

Malawi national association for the deaf (MANAD) has expressed worries over the shortage of sigh language interpreters in the country.

This was revealed in Blantyre during the weekend of a stakeholder’s workshop on access to information and telecommunication services for the deaf people in Malawi, on other hand promoting sign language so as to ease communication challenges among the deaf community.

Executive director for MANAD Byson Chimenya  said lucky of sigh language interpreters in different televised institution is very much worry some situation considering the fact that the country is promoting equality among the citizens from all walks of life.

“This is of great concern honesty talking we have take extra effort and make sure that we put those kind of expertise in all Tv’s.” said Chimenya.

Among the attendees were the Network service provider such as TNM and Airtel.
