political analysts in the country are giving the ruling democratic progressive party DPP the benefit of doubt by putting the blue team ahead of their political parties in the forthcoming tripartite elections.
Lilongwe based political journalist Chimwemwe Maseko said he is very much optimistic that DPP will emerge victors come 2019.
” UTM and MCP are loosing ground people should put this in mind UTM are just new on political scene, yes they can pull up a supplies but this is politics both UTM and MCP are over confident this is not good for them.” said Maseko
Maseko’s sentiments comes after University of Livingston political scientist George Phiri opted for the team blue to upset the newly formed United Transformation Movement UTM and veteran Malawi Congress Party MCP.
Both Maseko and Phiri acknowledge propaganda and maturity as the strongest weapons for the mighty DPP.
Though there is twist of things on the political scene Phiri said the ground should be leveled for both political parties especially on the public broadcasters Malawi Broadcasting Corporation MBC TV and Radios as DPP Dominate the airing time on tax payers funded broadcasters.
“MBC should level the ground for democrancy sake it is very pathetic how the MBC is operating, DPP is using the public entity to upset their political opponents it is absolutely unfair.” said Phiri.
