Mzomera Ngwira, has spent a night in police custody

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) regional governor for the North, Christopher Mzomera Ngwira, has spent a night in police custody despite being granted bail by court on Thursday.

Northern Region Police Public Relations Officer Peter Kalaya has confirmed the development.

Kalaya said Ngwira and the other four suspects freed on bail failed to meet some conditions stipulated by the court hence their continued stay in custody.
