BATTLE FOR SUPER LEAGUE PROMOTION IN CHIPIKU LEAGUE REACHES CLIMAX

With the first phase of the final round of Chipiku Stores Central region league done and dust, the Central region Football Association says they are impressed with the progress of the league as teams show competitive spirit with only two points separating Dedza Dynamos and Extreme Football Club.

CRFA Spokesperson Kondwani Kandiyando, express satisfaction with how the teams behaved and cautioned the teams to avoid violence to continue making the league more attractive to the football fraternity.

According to Kandiyando, the final phase of the league will begin next weekend on Saturday with Extreme FC dating Airborne considered as the crush of the week.

“Teams have been having very impressive performance in the matches in the quest to clinch into the super league. We are pleading with the teams to continue showing good behaviour on and off the pitch, and we want the second round to be very impressive as well.” He said.

In terms of officiating, Kandiado said the league will continue to follow the rotation procedure which the referees’ body is using to avoid inconvenience in managing the games.

“They will certainly be consequences if any team will deliberately show any sporting misconduct, we want to have a clean record and that is why we will maintain the rotational pattern of refereeing.” Highlight Kandiyando

Meanwhile, the Salima based side Airborne Rangers mentor Corporal Kenani Boka Chiumia lamented that the race to the elite league is too close to call and they are thirst for the top spot.

“We will put an extra gear in our remaining games in this final round more especially during our home games.” He says

On the other hand, Dedza Dynamos gaffer Christopher Zinyonga remain optimistic that his side will remain constant and deliver the top sport for Dedza side since their rival brothers Dedza Young Soccer achieved the same in 2017.

Currently, Dedza Dynamos are topping the table with 10 points second by Mchinji based side Extreme FC having 8 points, with the flying soldiers’ airborne rangers from parachute battalion in Salima in the third position with  7 points.

Silver strikers reserves is on the fourth position with 7 points, Green rangers coming on the fifth position with 4 points and at the bottom of the table, there is Kasungu based side Wimbe unite with the same 4 points.
