It took around 11 months to finish, but the 2019-20 Premier League season has finally reached its end after a successful restart following the coronavirus shutdown. 

There is certainly a lot to reflect on after a long and bruising campaign that saw Liverpool finish as champions, Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United taking the top four spots and Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich relegated. 

The statistics we often look out for are goals and assists, but there are several important figures that are sometimes overlooked that have played a massive part in the success or demise of a team. After 38 games, some numbers can explain the final league standings, but they can also tell a very different story.
