GRADY DIANGANA LATEST

The form of West Ham midfielder Grady Diangana on loan at West Brom has prompted questions over a possible recall in January.

The winger has scored five goals for the Baggies so far this season, and there have been fears from West Brom that the Hammers could look to recall Diangana next month to give them a boost.

But Birmingham Live reports that West Brom’s sporting and technical director Luke Dowling has explained the situation to the Albion Assembly.

The minutes of the Albion Assembly read: “While accepting team matters were not the main purpose for Assembly business, members did ask if there could be any update the club could offer over his loan from West Ham?

“Luke Dowling went over the background of the agreement with Grady’s parent club and the initial proposal that only a serious injury difficulties for West Ham would provoke a January recall.

“Manuel Pellegrini had re-stated his desire to see Grady stay for the season in the belief that it would pay greater dividend for West Ham, but he acknowledged that each season brings challenges for clubs and Albion must wait to see how the situation pans out.
