Milan eye three Arsenal midfielders

Milan have reportedly put three Arsenal players on their shortlist as they search for a midfielder in the January transfer window.

The Serie A side are said to be searching for a deep-lying midfielder as they look at a number of key positions ahead of next month’s window.

And according to Tuttosport (via Milan News), they are hoping to bring in a ‘Bakayoko-like’ player after having the Chelsea midfielder on loan last year.

On their shortlist of options are Arsenal trio Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira and Mohamed Elneny (who is currently on loan at Besiktas).

Xhaka is said to be first choice of the trio, with Torreira unlikely to be sold, while a move for Elneny could be difficult to arrange with his current loan deal.

Elneny is apparently valued at €15million (£12.75million), whereas Xhaka could cost closer to €40m (£34m).
