Parachute Battalion wins Hon. Gerald Kapiseni Phiri K150,000 Volleyball Bonanza.

Parachute Battalion are Hon. Gerald Kapiseni Phiri K150,000 Volleyball Bonanza champions after beating Salima Spikers 2-1 in the final of the tournament on Saturday 11th December 2021 at Salima community center ground.

The tournament which involved 4 teams including Parachute, Salima Spikers, Support Battalion and Mtakataka was first of it’s kind in Salima in as far as Volleyball game is concerned.

One of the organizers Prisca told Chisomo Radio Station that she was delighted to see the teams competing in the tournament which came to it’s confirmation at a nick of time _” I thought Honourable Mp will not give us the money but eventually he gave us hence the running of the tournament”_ Prisca said.

In his part Roderick Kaliati who spoke on behalf of Hon. Kapiseni thanked all the teams for the participation _”Honestly speaking, am impressed that the teams were here except two dispite a small package, we need to prepare well for at least a good tournament_ ”

The champions Parachute walked away with a Cup,12 gold medals and k25,000 while the runners up Salima Spikers went away with 12 silver medals and K20,000 and the third placed Mtakataka received 12 bronze medals and K15,000.
