Tottenham assure Jose Mourinho his key men will NOT be sold despite the impact of Covid-19 on the club as they weigh up moves for Aaron Ramsdale, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and South Korea international Kim Min-jae

Tottenham have told Jose Mourinho his key players will not be sold during the close season despite the Covid financial crisis.

Whilst money is tight at Spurs, chairman Daniel Levy will back his manager with limited funds during the transfer window to strengthen problem areas in his squad ahead of next season.

And the Portuguese’s plans for the 2020-21 campaign have been boosted with the club almost certain not to entertain offers for any key players this summ

Levy has a reputation as one of the fiercest negotiators in football and is hugely reluctant to engage in negotiations for any of his most important players knowing he would likely receive below market offers due to strained financial conditions caused by the coronavirus.

Tottenham may, however, entertain offers for fringe players to raise cash. Tanguy Ndombele, who arrived in a club record £53.8million swoop from Lyon last summer, has fallen out of favour under Mourinho and could be sacrificed.

In terms of incomings, the club are after a goalkeeper to add serious competition to current first-choice Hugo Lloris, who has entered the final 12 months of his deal.
