The war in Ukraine is likely to be discussed by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and US President Joe Biden when they meet at the White House later.
The pair will hold talks during Sunak’s visit to Washington DC, in which he will also discuss trade and artificial intelligence with the US president and other business leaders.
While the US and UK governments are said to be moving closer to offering air support to Kyiv to counter Russia’s invasion, so far both have said it is too soon to blame Russia for the partial collapse of the Kakhovka dam.
But both are clear that Moscow’s aggression must be thwarted.
